About the Merit Award

The NWOFCA Merit Award is presented to persons who have made significant contributions to the game of football or to the activities of the Northwest Ohio Football Coaches Association.

Past Recipients Have Been:

  • Long-time coaches (head coach, assistant coach, junior high coach, youth-league coach, etc.)
  • Support staff (clock or scoreboard operator, chain gang, athletic booster, statistician, camera operator, athletic trainer, school secretary, team doctor, etc.)
  • Media professionals (newspaper, TV reporter, radio personality, etc.)
  • School administrators
